Palmboom & van den Bout Intranet
The city planning office Palmboom & van den Bout (Rotterdam) has about 30 staff members. Their new intranet platform, realized in close collaboration of LUST and Systemantics, covers all aspects of corporate information management in a medium-sized company. The platform serves as a central information portal. All the information can be accessed quickly by a new category-based navigation approach. Each topic in the intranet has a responsible person assigned which uses an integrated content management system (CMS) to update his or her section.
Besides offering information in textual form, the intranet platform also offers a library catalogue, a room and resource reservation system, a knowledge center with the possibility to post questions and replies, and bookmarks to other webbased applications used in the office.The intranet is accessible from within the office as well as from the internet in order to support the office's business process to the maximum extent possible.
