Palmboom & van den Bout Intranet

The ci­ty plan­ning of­fi­ce Palm­boom & van den Bout (Rot­ter­dam) has about 30 staff mem­bers. Their new in­tra­net plat­form, rea­li­zed in clo­se col­la­bo­ra­tion of LUST and Sys­teman­ti­cs, co­vers all aspects of cor­po­ra­te in­for­ma­tion ma­na­ge­ment in a me­di­um-si­zed com­pa­ny. The plat­form ser­ves as a cen­tral in­for­ma­tion por­tal. All the in­for­ma­tion can be ac­ces­sed quick­ly by a new ca­te­go­ry-ba­sed na­vi­ga­tion ap­proach. Each to­pic in the in­tra­net has a re­spon­si­ble per­son as­si­gned which uses an in­te­gra­ted con­tent ma­na­ge­ment sys­tem (CMS) to up­da­te his or her sec­tion.

Be­si­des of­fe­ring in­for­ma­tion in tex­tual form, the in­tra­net plat­form al­so of­fers a li­bra­ry ca­ta­lo­gue, a room and re­sour­ce re­ser­va­tion sys­tem, a know­led­ge cen­ter with the pos­si­bi­li­ty to post ques­ti­ons and re­p­lies, and book­marks to other web­ba­sed app­li­ca­ti­ons used in the of­fi­ce.The in­tra­net is ac­ces­si­ble from wi­thin the of­fi­ce as well as from the in­ter­net in or­der to sup­port the of­fi­ce's busi­ness pro­cess to the ma­xi­mum ex­tent pos­si­ble.
